Gas Sensor Application Scenarios

Time:2022-12-12 Browse: 25

Gas sensors are widely used in civil, industrial and agricultural applications, and different types of sensors are categorized according to different usage scenarios.

Wall-mounted gas sensors are mainly used in the following applications: detecting the leakage of natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), city gas and other gases in the kitchen.

By detecting the gas produced when food is cooked in microwave ovens, thus automatically controlling microwave ovens to cook food; housing, buildings, conference rooms and public entertainment with carbon dioxide sensors, smoke sensors, ozone sensors, etc., to control the automatic operation of air purifiers or electric fans; in some high-rise buildings, combustible gas sensors can also be used to detect the first signs of fire and alarm.

In the industrial field, explosion-proof gas sensors are mainly used in the petrochemical industry. Some carbon dioxide sensors, ammonia sensors, nitric oxide sensors, etc. can be used in the detection of carbon dioxide, ammonia, chlorine and other harmful gases in specific applications.

In addition, can be used to detect the semiconductor and microelectronics industry, organic solvents and phosphorous alkanes and other highly toxic gases; power industry, hydrogen sensors can detect the power transformer oil degradation process of hydrogen; and in the food industry, gas sensors can also detect the freshness of meat and other perishable food; in the automotive and furnace industry to detect oxygen in the exhaust gas, highway traffic to detect the concentration of ethanol gas in the breath of the driver, etc. In the automotive and furnace industries, gas sensors can detect oxygen in exhaust gases, and in highway traffic, ethanol in drivers' breath.

Of course, when it comes to the most close to life in the field of environmental monitoring, naturally also inseparable from the gas sensor. For example, the sensor detects nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, hydrogen chloride and other gases that cause acid rain; carbon dioxide sensors, ozone sensors, Freon sensors and other detection of greenhouse gases.

It is believed that in the future, after the further transformation of gas sensors, the scope of its application will become more and more extensive, and we will also see gas sensors in more occasions.
