pH-5011 pH Electrode Measuring Principle
The measurement of pH electrode is based on electrochemical method and primary cell principle. The primary cell system consists of two half-cells: the measuring cell and the reference half-cell (reference electrode). The potential of the measuring cell is related to a specific ionic activity, while the reference electrode is connected to the measuring solution and connected to the measuring instrument. The potential difference generated by the reaction of the primary cell inside the electrodes is transmitted to the pH controller, where it is processed by the corresponding algorithm and the pH value is transmitted and displayed.

Electrode slope: Theoretically 59.16mV/pH at 25℃, the actual slope usually reaches more than 95% of the theoretical value.
Conversion of potential difference corresponding to temperature: △E=59.16[(273+T)/298]△pH, can be converted according to different temperature.

pH-5011 pH Electrode Precautions for Use
Electrode lead: The electrode lead is a special shielded wire, it is forbidden to cut and connect it privately, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy and safety.
Immersion environment: avoid long-term immersion in distilled water or protein solution, prevent contact with silicone grease to avoid damage to the electrode.
Maintenance: For electrodes that have been used for a long time, the glass film may become transparent or have deposits attached, which can be washed with dilute hydrochloric acid and rinsed with water.
Replacement of Electrode: If the electrode is unable to restore the response through maintenance, please replace the electrode with a new one to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.
Waterproof protection: The pH electrode cable is not waterproof, you should try to avoid the electrode cable touching water to prevent short-circuit or damage.
