Product Details: WSR200 Radar Liquid Level Meter
WSR200 Radar Liquid Level Meter Introduction
The Radar Level Gauge is a non-contact, continuous measurement device designed for monitoring liquid levels in both enclosed and open containers during industrial production processes. With its long detection range and low beam energy, this gauge can be installed in various metal and nonmetallic containers or pipelines. It is suitable for environments with dust, water mist, inert gases, and steam. The Radar Level Gauge poses no harm to humans or the environment and offers several advantages, including immunity to medium specific gravity and dielectric constant changes, as well as no need for field calibration.
1.2 WSR200 Radar Liquid Level Meter Measurement Principle
The measurement principle of the radar gauge is based on Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology. The FMCW radar emits signals in the high-frequency range, with the frequency linearly increasing within its measurement phase domain (known as chirping). The radar wave signals emitted by the antenna are reflected by the surface of the medium and received by the antenna after a time interval t. The time difference t is calculated as 2d/c, where d represents the distance between the radar and the medium surface, and c is the speed of radar wave propagation above the medium surface, i.e., the speed of light. Signal processing is performed by comparing the difference Δf between the actual transmitted and received frequencies. This frequency difference is directly proportional to the distance. A larger frequency difference indicates a greater distance, and vice versa. Through Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the frequency difference Δf is converted into a spectrum, from which the distance is calculated. The liquid level height is determined by calculating the difference between the tank height and the measured distance.
